Outside Research

Hi, I am Yuejia (Nina) Zhang, a final-year Ph.D. student in Computational Mathematics at Fudan University, Shanghai, China. I am jointly supervised by Professor Weiguo Gao and Professor Yingzhou Li. I expect to graduate in June 2026 and am currently looking for a postdoc position. [CV, updated March 2026]

My research focuses on numerical linear algebra and high-performance algorithms for quantum chemistry, especially the development of efficient solvers for the many-body Schrödinger equation. I am particularly interested in coordinate descent methods, large-scale eigenvalue problems, tensor-based techniques, and scalable implementations for electronic structure computations. Performance is a central priority for me, and I am dedicated to bridging mathematical analysis with practical HPC software engineering.

In addition to my research, I serve as the HPC administrator of our research group’s computing cluster.

Outside of academia, I am passionate about cycling 🚴‍♀️, cooking 🍳, and coffee ☕.
